Transcendence

With this exhibition I wanted to take you on a journey. I wanted us to set out from the end toward the beginning. I wanted all of us to dive deep into ourselves.

The exhibition set out on a journey through different dimensions of the human psyche and inner life, presenting five video installations with sound in space.

Moving from room to room, visitors passed from one sphere of the exhibition into another. In each room, inspired by the video installations, they entered a spirit of self-knowledge and introspection. The idea was for the installations to reach the visitors’ souls, opening a space to reflect on themselves — on the way we live, exist and are.

The two rooms with video installations were metaphors for the inner, metaphysical world that exists alongside the outer, physical one. Entering one room, visitors went inside themselves, into the inner world; leaving it, they returned to the outer world. Entering the other room with video projections, they went inward again, and on leaving, they were once more outside — feeling the connection and reflection between two worlds that exist simultaneously and depend on each other, a reminder of the importance of introspection and of connecting with oneself.
